Technology is becoming increasingly complex, obscure and distant. We need Share artists to create art that portrays singularity in a simple and sincere way.
Now in its 20th edition, Share Festival – the Italian contemporary art festival exploring technological evolution and science – has reopened the call for entries for the Share Prize.
The Share Prize is Italy’s longest-running award dedicated to the most innovative artistic proposals within the international contemporary tech art scene.

A Bedtime story for the end
Zheyan LiVIDEO INSTALLATION
The work imagines a future in which a plague of perpetual wakefulness deprives humans of the ability to dream. Since collective dreams had kept the laws of the universe stable, reality begins to unravel. Meditation and prayer become tools for slowing cosmic collapse. The narrative uses the motif of the end of dreaming to reflect on collective consciousness, spirituality and the dissolution of reality.
Infinity eggs
Vladimir Nefedov2023, VIDEO INSTALLATION
A 51-minute audiovisual work begun in 2023, at the moment when neural video generators first became publicly accessible. The artist investigates whether a single person can create a long-form work using unstable, pre-commercial AI tools. The process becomes a disturbing perceptual experience in which errors, deformed faces, broken physics and repetition blur the boundary between intention and machine output.
The project is presented as an experience lived inside the emerging logic of AI.
Pareidolia
Irene GuerraVIDEO INSTALLATION
The work begins from pareidolia: the human tendency to attribute forms and souls to the inanimate. With AI, this projection takes on a new form, as people speak to machines as if they were human beings. The installation materialises AI by fossilising its hardware in plaster and digitises the human body in video, inviting viewers to ask not what AI is becoming, but what we are becoming through it.

Olga NiekrasovaVIDEO SERIES
A fifteen-part moving image project exploring technological change through fragmentation, rhythm and spatial transformation. Inspired by Cubism, the work builds environments composed of fractured yet balanced forms. Recurring circular motion becomes a metaphor for continuity, transition and human adaptation during moments of technological acceleration.
Test Montage

VIDEO, KINETIC SCULPTURES
A video montage composed of the artist’s “tests”: an automatic toaster burning toast, a handmade racing machine dragged across a car park, a TV attacking itself and other experiments. The artist owns over 4,000 such tests, which he uses as video material. The work reflects on automation, social media, rebellious gesture and the loss of manual satisfaction when action is delegated to machines.
The Imaginator
XenoramaINTERACTIVE INSTALLATION
An interactive installation in which visitors generate and modify AI visual worlds through eye movement. After entering a word or phrase, eye-tracking captures the viewer’s gaze and generates visual compositions where attention is focused. Perception becomes an interface, and the work exists only within the feedback loop between body, gaze and image.
