Zemi by Maria Sappho is the winner of Share Prize 17th!

Our jury and our directive board recognize in Zemi: "A beautiful combo of tech art and material craft… Zemi feels as a real thing one can imagine it in 2050." Zemi embodies in her fabric memories that can be played: "making a futuristic indoor concert".

To Maria Sappho the credit for imagining a truthful, compelling, playful everyday device in a household of our near future.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our founder and long-time director -- our muse, our maestra -- Chiara Garibaldi.

As an architect and art patroness -- with a particular fondness for artworks made with highly unconventional means -- Chiara had a unique position during a unique period in Turinese society. We’re unhappy that she has left us, but we rejoice that she was with us so many years, and that she was so highly active, and gave so much. In the fast-paced worlds of Internet art, net.art and software art, so much changed during Chiara's career that it sometimes seemed that Chiara had several lifetimes.

It’s rare to meet an art entrepreneur who is a visionary, a pioneer, and a steady hand in direction and management. During her Festival’s extensive existence, Chiara was as solid as a classic marble column, and she was the inspiration and force behind the next forthcoming Share Festival, “Tomorrow Now: The Art of 2050 AD”.

As Share Festival staffers, artists and directors, we see “Tomorrow Now” as “Chiara’s last Share Festival”. We feel determined to make her event happen. We believe we can do it without her guidance (although that feat will be difficult), but we want to make it clear to everyone that any Share Festival without Chiara Garibaldi cannot possibly be what our festival once was. There will be a Tomorrow, but an era has closed.

Thank you for sharing our thoughts and feelings in this brief message, and we ask you for your understanding, aid and counsel at this time.

The Sharing board of directors and team.

Environment Park
Via Andrea Costaguta 21/a, Turin

Cristallo di Luce will be presented on Thursday, February 13, at Environment Park, alongside the renowned Turin exhibition Luci d’Artista.

The multifaceted soul of Diego Scroppo's work continues to bring together different realities. Cristallo di Luce is part of the "Luminarie" of Luci d’Artista. The connection between Cristallo di Luce and Luci d’Artista is rooted in the shared vision of Turin and The Sharing to increasingly integrate artworks into urban spaces and the daily lives of its inhabitants. For this event, no venue could be more fitting than Environment Park, the permanent home of the artwork and a valued partner of the association.

With this celebration, Luci d’Artista, Environment Park, and The Sharing continue an ongoing dialogue between contemporary art and urban sustainability, strengthening the network between the city and its cultural institutions.
