Kinesintesi
Livia Ribichini
Kinesintesi is a theoretical work that explores spatial connections between the real and virtual worlds. Along the axis of time, it examines how the past converges with the future. Through a video installation, the artist depicts traditional agricultural practices, such as tilling the soil and sowing seeds. These actions are recognized by artificial intelligence, which virtually replicates them to nourish a digital plant. The manual labor of agriculture, largely forgotten, exists in our imagination. Its ritual aspects are essential for sustaining life on our planet. Innovative algorithms provide numerical parameters that nourish the new plant in this digital space. As a result, it grows taller, sprouts green leaves, blooms flowers, and ripens fruit. The ancient symbiosis between humanity and nature lives on, transformed, in the digital world.
